AWB was formed in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina to provide trauma-healing acupuncture treatments to first responders and disaster survivors in New Orleans.  Since 2005, AWB has expanded its work to focus on trauma reduction for veterans and military personnel, refugees, sexual violence survivors and other vulnerable communities. AWB has provided millions of ear acupuncture treatments around the world and trained over 5,000 volunteer acupuncturists and health professionals in the US and internationally.
